Dr Enoch Zakhe Mathonsi completed his undergraduate degree in 2007 at the university of KwaZulu-Natal. In 2012, he then trained for a further five years where he obtained his MMED degree through the University of Pretoria. He has a fellowship in FC Neurosurgery at the Colleges of Medicine of SA (CMSA). He has completed many courses and seminars over the past few years where he continues to grow his knowledge and capabilities within his chosen field. Before Dr Mathonsi relocated to Kwazulu-Natal from Gauteng and arrived at St Anne’s Hospital, he was practicing at the Steve Biko Academic Hospital.  This is where he grew in his position as registrar in the Neurosurgery department. Dr Mathonsi has a very keen interest in spine surgery but he also does surgeries involving the cranium. He carries high values, and believes in hard work so that it may benefit all of his patients. He is very excited to be a part of St Anne’s and grow his practice in Pietermaritzburg.
